Location:Northside Neighborhood ClinicDepartment:Northside
Neighborhood ClinicShift:Standard Weekly Hours:36Summary:Functions
in collaborative, independent practice with physician(s) in private
office setting. Autonomously performs patient assessment,
diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols.
Develops and maintains own volume of patients. Provides practice
coverage for physician(s) during periods of absence. Prescribes a
variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and
including hospital admission/discharge and prescriptive authority.
Serves as role model and resource to clinical
personnel.Education:Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: Master's
Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Minimum 2
years of pediatric nursing experience or 2 years' experience as an
FNP in a primary care setting strongly preferred ORPhysician
Assistants: Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies strongly
preferred (PAs not meeting this educational requirement will be
considered based on experience and will be encouraged to attain
Master's of Science as a PA within 2 years of date of hire.)
Minimum of two years Pediatric primary/specialty or acute care
setting experience OR 2 years' experience in related allied health
field (i.e. family practice setting with heavy component of
pediatric patients) strongly
preferred.Certification/Licensure:Advanced Practice Registered
Nurses: Current Texas professional registered nurse license.
Current Texas professional advance practice registered nurse
license. Recognition from the State Board of Nurse Examiners as an
Advanced Practice Nurse. Certification as Pediatric or Family
Practice Nurse Practitioner. Current Basic Life Support (CPR)
required. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
(as of October 1, 2019) ORPhysician Assistants: Current Texas
professional physician assistant license. Recognition from the
State Medical Board as a Physician Assistant. Certification as a
Physician Assistant PA-C required. Current American Heart
Association Basic Life Support (CPR) required. Current American
Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
