Senior Advisor is part of the Compliance Testing (“CT”) team for
the Santander U.S. Compliance Testing Unit (CTU). The CTU is
responsible for assessing compliance risks and controls implemented
by the business and functional areas. The testing will focus on
regulatory requirements, controls and processes related to auto
finance and banking products. In this role, you will review
policies and procedures and perform independent testing activities
(testing and on-going monitoring) to assess the design and
effectiveness of key processes and controls designed to address
state and federal compliance, escalating control gaps or
deficiencies, any violations of law, and non-adherence to
enterprise-wide policy, as well as validating adequacy of
remediation taken to address identified issues. As a Sr. Advisor
you will have an increased level of responsibility to conduct
reviews independently, conduct more complex reviews, leading
reviews in conjunction with other testers, working
cross-functionally, conduct validations, prepare audit or exam
requests, or train other less experienced testers. - Maintain
current knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, and
regulations, ensuring operational adherence on all requirements.
Including but not limited to Reg. B/ECOA, Reg. Z/TILA, FCRA, FACT
Act, FDCPA, UDAP/UDAAP, GLBA/Privacy, Reg. E, SCRA, and MLA. -
Document test scope and objectives associated with the review and
the control activities being tested. - Create testing scripts and
conduct fieldwork (review of policies and procedures and perform
transactional testing). - Hold weekly meetings with the LOB during
testing to clarify processes and present results of testing to date
(including receipt and review of responses from the LOB. - Prepare
test presentations that effectively communicate testing results
(findings and observations), root cause and recommendations. - Hold
preliminary exit and final exit meetings with the business and key
stakeholders to obtain agreement on issues, review ratings, and
finalize recommendations. - Prepare and maintain organized, clear,
complete, and conclusive workpapers that are audit ready. - Prepare
and write clear and effective reports to provide to stakeholders;
define management actions plans with stakeholders to address
findings. - Track CTU findings from discovery to remediation and
conduct validation of management actions plans. - Evaluate the
design and effectiveness of key controls to address compliance
requirements and escalate control deficiencies. - Develop and
execute the CTU Plan to monitor for compliance with rules, laws,
and regulations. - Participating in the development and enhancement
of the CTU Methodologies and Standards for testing, monitoring, and
reporting. - Developing effective relationships within CTU and with
other stakeholders including business and technology process owners
and Internal Audit. - Promoting knowledge sharing and promulgation
of best practices across CTU and the business. - Identifying
industry best practices and sharing insight with the CTU team on a
regular basis. - Informing Compliance management of significant
compliance matters that require their attention or action. - Work
closely with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Risk
Management, and Operations, to ensure seamless compliance efforts.

essential functions. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work
experience: Business, Finance, or equivalent degree. - Required.
Master's Degree Business, Finance, or equivalent field. -
Preferred. 9 Years Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, or Financial
Services. - Required. - Experience conducting testing, regulatory
exams, auditing, or Quality Control/Quality Assurance testing. -
Experience in planning, executing (including assessment of policies
and procedures and creating testing scripts) and reporting on
compliance testing reviews and regulatory issue validation
activities in the Financial Services space. - In-depth knowledge
and understanding of state and federal Financial Services risks,
rules, laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements. - Strong
analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify
compliance risks. - Awareness of regulatory developments
promulgated by federal and state regulators, applicable to our
business. - Strong interpersonal skills and experience building
strong relationships with stakeholders and engaging teams. - Proven
success in working independently, managing multiple projects, and
consistently meet deadlines. - Effectiveness in working within a
large scale and complex organization. - Excellent communication
skills, both written and verbal, interacting with non-executive and
executive management across business lines and control functions. -
Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive. -
Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, and
organized. - Strong presentation skills with the ability to
articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear
messaging. - Ability to work collaboratively with regional and
global partners in other functional units. - Experience in managing
regulatory exams and relationships with examiners, auditors, etc.
Certifications: CRCM and NAF. - Preferred. It Would Be Nice For You
To Have: Established work history or equivalent demonstrated
through a combination of work experience, training, military
service, or education. What Else You Need To Know: The base pay
range for this position is posted below and represents the
annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the
annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact
compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training,
licensure and certifications and location. Base Pay Range Minimum:
