Travel Nursing Job Details - Location: Corsicana, TX 75110 (Texas travel nursing jobs) - Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Unit: Same Day Surgery / PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) - Shift: Days, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts) - Call: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM at least 1 shift per week; weekend call 1 per 4 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 72 biweekly (36 hours/week) - Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025) - Patient Beds: 23 - Patient Ratio: Varies - Scrubs: Any solid color - EMR: MED HOST, Paper - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,510 - $1,620 PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state) - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required - Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or Same Day Surgery RN experience - Proficient in IV starts, basic admission assessments, and medication reconciliation - Experience with Type I/Type II diabetic patients and endoscopy discharge teaching - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Stage II recovery environment - Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach - Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse requirement) PACU RN Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients in coordination with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff - Apply the nursing process in compliance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and hospital policies - Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care planning and delivery - Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training - Delegate patient care tasks appropriately and supervise assigned healthcare personnel - Perform IV starts, admission assessments, medication reconciliation, and discharge teaching for endoscopy patients - Foster a positive team environment focused on patient safety and satisfaction Apply now to join our healthcare team as a PACU Registered Nurse in Corsicana, Texas, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
