PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Corsicana,
Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post
Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours
per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Travel RN
– Day Surgery / PACU Start: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days,
Monday–Friday • 8-hour shifts • Start times between 6:00a–7:00a,
end around 3:30p (variable) Call Requirements: • At least 1 weekday
call per week (3:30p–7:00a) • Weekend call: 1 weekend every 4 weeks
• Call is split among staff Unit Breakdown: • 80% Pre-Op / Post-Op
• 20% PACU Requirements: • Active RN license • BLS, ACLS, PALS • 2
years experience required • Must be able to work full-time M–F
(8-hour shifts only) Unit Details: • Number of beds: 23 • Patient
ratio: Varies • No floating • Scrubs: Any solid color • EMR:
MedHost and paper charting Required Skills: • IV starts for Same
Day Surgery patients • Admission assessments for SDS patients •
Experience with Type I & Type II diabetic patients • Medication
reconciliation • Discharge teaching for Endoscopy patients •
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Stage II environment
Additional Notes: • Majority of patients are outpatient • Strong
team environment — unit is friendly, supportive, and highly
collaborative
