Radiation Therapist Location: Bedford, TX Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 7 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title Radiation Therapist Job Summary The Radiation Therapist administers radiation therapy treatments to patients under direct supervision. The role requires accuracy in patient positioning and radiation dose delivery, patient care, documentation, and participation in clinical instruction. New graduates are welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities Deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in electronic medical records Participate in clinical instruction for newly hired therapists and students Assist with patient appointment scheduling and billing accuracy Fabricate treatment blocks and custom molds as needed Complete simple MU calculations and interpret computerized treatment plans Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow professional standards, compliance, and safety protocols Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program ARRT certification required Valid state license for radiation therapy 1 year experience preferred; new graduates considered US Citizen or Green Card holder Physical Demands Regularly sit and use hands for equipment handling Occasionally stand, walk, reach, and lift/move up to 30 pounds Vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges Work Environment Clinical healthcare setting with exposure to radiation therapy procedures Adherence to safety and infection control protocols required Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities
