available to join our team in support of the Department of
Justice’s (DoJ) groundbreaking program aimed at strengthening the
infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving user
experience across US Marshals Service (USMS) districts. This IT
modernization initiative is a critical component of ensuring the
effectiveness and security of our nation’s law enforcement
operations. We are looking for an experienced Database Operations
Specialist to join our team on this new contract. We invite skilled

Responsibilities: Set up and manage database clustering to ensure
scalability and load balancing. Optimize database performance
through tuning, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
Maintain data integrity by implementing and enforcing data
validation rules, constraints, and integrity checks. Troubleshoot
and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime and
ensure data availability. Implement high availability solutions to
ensure databases remain operational during failures or disruptions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database
operations with business objectives and IT strategies. Develop and
maintain comprehensive documentation for database processes,
configurations, and procedures. Provide technical support and
guidance to database administrators and other IT staff. Stay
current with emerging database technologies, trends, and best
practices. Participate in the procurement and evaluation of
database management tools and software. Ensure compliance with
industry regulations and internal policies in all database
operations. Conduct regular reviews and audits of database
processes to identify areas for improvement. Contribute to the
continuous improvement of database operations strategies and
methodologies. Engage in knowledge-sharing activities and training
sessions to enhance team skills and capabilities. Qualifications:
Required: Active DoD Public Trust clearance or US citizen with
ability to obtain Public Trust upon hire Master’s degree in
Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Management, or a
related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database
Operations Specialist or in a similar database management role.
Proficiency in setting up and managing database clustering. Strong
skills in performance optimization techniques for databases.
Expertise in maintaining data integrity and implementing data
validation rules. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving
skills for database issues. Knowledge of high availability
solutions and techniques. In-depth understanding of database
management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL). Excellent analytical and
critical thinking abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal
skills. Desired: Certifications such as Oracle Certified
Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator
Associate, or equivalent. Experience with cloud-based database
solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
Knowledge of database automation tools and scripts (e.g., Ansible,
Python). Familiarity with containerization and microservices
architectures. Experience with database performance monitoring and
management tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds). - What You Can Expect:

factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited
to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor
categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience,
specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.

one location, the range shown is the national average for the
position. The proposed salary range for this position is:
